Update 10/24/24: An OpenAI employee on Twitter reports that this change was made at the request of the removed author. No reasons were given for the removal, nor the original inclusion.

Between August 27 and August 30, OpenAI quietly edited the GPT-4o system card they published earlier in the year to remove the name of a safety researcher, Todor Markov, who resigned from the company in protest of their restrictive NDAs.
